Kenfig Sands, Bridgend
Officially titled Kenfig National Nature Reserve SSSI*, this area has a fascinating history now swallowed by some of the biggest sand dunes in Europe, but rather than looking like the Sahara, the dunes have a thin covering of vegetation. In the lake to the far right can be seen some ruins poking above the surface, read more at Wikipedia. *SSSI means Site of Special Scientific Interest

the building on the left is a 17th century water mill, the building in the centre is a coracle museum, a type of boat traditional to Wales but the design is found in many cultures

"Olympic Park"
The view from a Holiday Inn hotel room in Stratford, London. They asked "would you like a view of the Olympic park?" "Why yes, yes I would". Apparently that means a large car park/construction site (this was after the Olympics had finished in 2012).
